Flight from Seattle to Seoul

And we’re off! The big trip to South Korea has officially begun, starting with our massive flight from Seattle all the way to Seoul. Flying halfway across the world is always a bit of a marathon, but getting situated in the right seat makes all the difference!

Comfortable leather seat
The leather seat was definitely comfortable, though the cushion wasn’t adjustable like on Lufthansa.

I ended up sitting right next to Abbey in the middle section, which has the two seats side-by-side. The seat itself was actually really comfortable with some nice leather, even though the bottom cushion wasn’t adjustable (unlike the seats we’ve flown on Lufthansa before).

The biggest downside of the flight: that annoyingly small footwell!

The absolute biggest problem with the setup? The tiny footwell. When you’re trying to stretch out on a long flight, a small footwell gets annoying pretty fast.

The cabin view and the entertainment screens.

That being said, the sleeping situation totally made up for it! There’s a door you can close to block out the light and noise from the aisle, which meant I was actually able to get some solid sleep during the flight.

As for the rest of the experience: the food and service were moderate—definitely not bad, just standard airplane fare. The inflight entertainment system was fine too, nothing to write home about, but it did the job. We did hit some moderate to small turbulence along the way, but nothing too crazy.

Overall, considering how long the flight was, I’d rate the whole experience a solid 8 out of 10. Next stop: exploring Seoul!
